This year, Lunar New Year celebrations will usher in the Year of the Snake. As fashion-lovers have come to expect, major brands are celebrating by dropping capsule collections and collaborations to commemorate the holiday. This month, luxe brands like Dior, Loewe, and Miu Miu have released collections featuring stunning visuals in homage to the zodiac sign of the snake — which symbolizes transformation, renewal, and growth. In addition to the  sign, many of the latest collaborations are imbued with red—a colour that represents good luck and celebration—and gold—which represents wealth and prosperity.

With the 2025 celebration upon us, it’s never been a better time to shop—and considering it’s tradition to wear all-new clothes during the new year (it represents a fresh beginning!), we’d say you’re almost obligated to. Below, eight new luxe Lunar New Year collections to shop.

Dior

Dior is celebrating the Lunar New Year with a lucky star-inspired collection. Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri honours the richness of Chinese tradition with gold-accented bags and garments and snake motifs inspired by the constellation Serpens. There’s also jewellery adorned with golden snakes, like the Diorelita gold bracelet ($510 CAD), which are sure to add a bit of sparkle to any celebration. For the men, Dior joins forces with American contemporary artist KAWS once again for this special capsule that includes snakes in his signature pop art aesthetics on hats, jackets, bags, and more.

Chloé

The French luxury brand is celebrating the Year of the Snake with a gorgeous capsule collection that reinterprets a number of their classic designs, like the bracelet hobo bag, now in red ($3,960 CAD). Chloé is also launching a range of jewellery as a part of the release, like a Chloé snake bracelet ($440 CAD) featuring a red string (an homage to traditional Lunar New Year bracelets) and dainty gold and pearl snake earrings ($670 CAD).

Burberry

For British fashion house Burberry, celebrating Lunar New Year means a capsule collection and campaign starring Chinese actor and ambassador Zhang Jingyi. Burberry’s latest capsule presents a brand-new take on the iconic Burberry check. The collection is imbued with the lucky colour red, releasing a new seasonal check colourway in a variety of trench dresses, purses and scarves. In addition to a seasonal check, LNY also welcomes a new snake motif coiled to represent the Burberry B.

Loewe

With Jonathan Anderson at the helm as Creative Director, there is no slowing down for Loewe. Dropping on-point LNY collections in the past, 2025 is no exception. This year, Loewe is celebrating the Year of the Snake with jewellery and charms created with third-generation Chinese enameller Xiong Songtao. The artisan pays homage to the ancient Chinese art of cloisonné, a method of decorating metals with colourful materials. Alongside Xiong’s creations are ready-to-wear shoes, bags and accessories featuring auspicious motifs, like snakes and clouds

Gucci

Italian fashion house Gucci has dropped a collection of ready-to-wear garments and revamped accessories, with nods to both Gucci’s history as well as the serpent motif to celebrate the Year of the Snake. A burgundy take on the circa 1970s Blonde shoulder bag with the brand’s distinctive logo in gold ($4,445 CAD) is one must-have piece. And for men, a stunning blue zip-up jacket ($5,500 CAD) featuring the Gucci monogram alongside the 2025 snake motif makes for a unique closet addition that can be worn long after the celebration has passed.

Starring Miu Miu brand ambassadors Liu Haocun and Zhao Jinmai, the film takes place in a bustling Cantonese tea restaurant in Beijing as the actors are transported to a magical space, where they’re free to dance around and create in the space. Featured in the film are pieces from Miu Miu’s 2025 Lunar New Year collection, including a cozy fleece sweatshirt, their popular Wander matelassé nappa leather hobo bag in red and chic cashmere polos
