Third-culture individuals, immigrants and diasporic folks are at the forefront of many industries, doing boundary-pushing, paradigm-shifting work. From fashion to healthcare to art to (of course) tech, these groups are changing the way their sectors function, and working to make the world a better place. So, in 3’s Spring issue, we’re celebrating their accomplishments, highlighting the real-world impacts of their efforts and changing the way readers think about innovation.

What does home mean, when you’re ‘from’—or at least can claim belonging to—many places? How does it feel to leave home, build a home in a new place, miss a home that you’ve never actually lived in and eventually go *back* home, this time as a visitor (or, to realize you may never be able to return)? This issue of 3 delves into the nuanced and sometimes contradictory ways third-culture kids, immigrants and other diasporic folks understand the concept of ‘home.’
